Another Star is the company behind all citizenM hotels in Europe and the USA. Our purpose is simple – to  make sure citizenM hotels have everything to run smoothly and keep the guests happy. Bedding, tech, room maintenance, crunchy croissants and more – Another Star takes care of it all. 

citizenM hotels were founded in 2008 by Rattan Chadha. From 2008 to 2025, citizenM was its own owner-operator, which is unusual in the traditional hotel industry where separate owners and operators are the norm. In 2025, the citizenM brand was acquired by Marriott International and added to their existing portfolio of 30+ hotel brands worldwide. A new company was created to keep hotel operations under one roof – that’s Another Star. It may be a new company by name, but it’s made of the same people who have been building and running citizenM hotels for two decades – knowledgeable and guest-fanatic. 

Another Star operates 37 citizenM hotels – all in Europe and the USA. The remaining two hotels – one in Kuala Lumpur and one in Taipei – are operated by Marriott.
